#10: Oradour-sur-Glane War Ruins in France
Oradour-sur-Glane in France was destroyed during World War II when Nazi SS troops massacred hundreds of residents in June 1944. After the war, French president Charles de Gaulle ordered the ruined village to remain untouched as a memorial. Burned cars, damaged buildings, and abandoned streets still stand today as reminders of the wartime tragedy.
