#4: A Smoky Mountain Christmas (1986)
Dolly plays Lorna Davis, a country superstar who escapes show-business stress by retreating to a Tennessee mountain cabin and promptly discovers a group of children needing help. Directed by Henry Winkler, this television movie mixes holiday warmth, fairy-tale touches, music, and enough mountain scenery to practically smell the fireplace. It became a seasonal favorite among Dolly fans. Apparently escaping celebrity pressure is difficult when seven children and a Christmas plot are already waiting at the cabin.
