Melon
Melon is at its sweetest and juiciest when served at room temperature. All melons, including watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew, are included in this group of fruit. The USDA’s research has verified that this is the case, and that keeping foods at room temperature helps to preserve the antioxidants they contain.
Not only does the melon contain more antioxidants, but it also keeps more nutrients when stored at room temperature and has a more pleasant flavour. After you’ve cut the melon, wrap it tightly in cling wrap and place the remaining pieces in the refrigerator for later use. At the very least, the melon should be edible for three days after it has been harvested.
