Berries
A simple error in the handling of berries might result in mould growth and a mushy texture on the berries. In order to make the most of the berries, they should not be refrigerated if you want to utilise them within a few days. The juiciness and firmness of the fruit are retained well into the evening when left out in the open.
If the berries are not rinsed shortly before use, they will mould. If necessary, rinse them under running water in a colander. Make sure the water does not come into contact with the treasured fruit. However, if the container is not airtight, it is possible to lengthen the time spent storing food in the refrigerator. This category includes types of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries, among others.
