Apples
As an ethylene-producing fruit, apples can be risky to keep in the refrigerator. Keeping them near other fruits and vegetables will speed up the process of ripening. That might be a tad hurried at times, resulting in spoilt produce, It gets gassy and tasteless and may start getting mushy from some areas.
Apples stay well for a few weeks on the counter and their brilliant colours make them a great showpiece. When storing them in the refrigerator, be careful to keep them separate so they don’t become jumbled together. And don’t forget that one crappy apple can destroy a whole lot of apples!
