Peaches
Store-bought peaches, contrary to popular belief, will not retain their quality taste if kept in the refrigerator. Instead, let the fruits to ripen on the kitchen counter until they are at their optimum ripeness. As a general rule, peaches can be stored at room temperature for up to twenty days if they are not exposed to direct sunlight.
Refrigerating peaches is only necessary if you plan to keep them for an extended period of time, in which case they will keep for up to nine months. It’s best to defrost the peaches for an hour before serving them if they’ve been frozen. As a result, if your grocery shop constantly carries fresh peaches, it makes more sense to buy as you go.
