#12: Cottage Cheese with Everything
People in the 1960s and 1970s had a bit of an obsession with cottage cheese. It was served with fruit, stuffed in bell peppers, and plopped on plates next to tossed salads. We’ve known housewives who used it as a substitute for ricotta in lasagna and who stirred the powder from a Jell-O packet into a bowl of Jell-O for a dish-to-pass treat.
