#7: Deviled Ham Spread
Another canned meat item, deviled ham spread, was a popular appetizer, served with crackers, in the 1960s and 1970s. The beauty of this spread was that it would last for years as long as the can was unopened. And it didn’t need to be refrigerated, making it an ideal supply for the family’s fallout shelter, alongside Spam and canned ravioli.
