#4: Frozen Maple Taffy
Frozen maple taffy is a sweet treat borrowed from our Canadian neighbors. Just boil maple sap until it forms a thick syrup then pour it directly on fresh snow. It will harden into a taffy consistency. If you read Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House in the Big Woods as a kid, you will recall how Laura and her cousins make frozen maple taffy during a sugar-off celebration.
