#2: Breaker High
Did you know that long before he became a handsome A-lister in Hollywood, Ryan Gosling played the lead role in Breaker High, a 1997 teen drama? Not many remember his days on this forgotten ABC Family series. Set on a cruise ship, it followed high school students attending school at sea, and like your average high school drama, there was enough romance, comedy, and adventure to go around.
Its campy premise and likable characters (and, well, the charm of Ryan Gosling) earned it a very dedicated cult following. Even though it only had one season, Breaker High has done nothing but retain the status of a cult favorite amongst its fans who remember oh-so-fondly its singular blend of high school hijinks and jet-setting travel adventures.
