So, on a serious note, how much money would you accept as a reasonable holiday bonus? $25? $30? This person got a generous $50 gift card for Walmart from their employee. That’s really not that much, but hey–$50 is $50… sort of.
In this poor employee’s case, the “generous” gift card was actually self-paid for. You see, the boss actually took the $50 they needed to purchase the gift card and deducted it from the employee’s salary. So, basically, the OP gave themselves a gift card for working their butt off for an entire 12 months. This employer is in dire need of a good paddlin’.
