The Transaction History Doesn’t Lie
The next morning, Whitney woke up and immediately checked her bank history, which she said was something she did regularly first thing in the morning. She expected to see a transfer of only $55.50 out of her account, but she discovered something that didn’t add up.
As soon as she opened the transaction history in her mobile banking app, she learned that she was out an additional $10. The bank records showed that she spent $45.50 on the meal and tipped $20, 100% more than she intended. This had to be some sort of mistake, and Whitney wanted to get to the bottom of things.
