#6: A Different Reality
We know it is a strange thing to fathom, but once upon a time, we didn’t have access to music in the same way that we do today. These days everything is so easily accessible with the click of a button that we rarely feel like we are being denied anything. But that wasn’t always the case, especially when it came to music.
When the iPod was first released in 2001, our understanding of music and music storage was flipped on its head. All of a sudden you could have 1000 songs in your pocket, and that was revolutionary. But just like anything, when it comes to the good life we become accustomed to it too fast… The second we weren’t able to add more than 1000 songs to our iPods, we began seeing the flaws in the product.
