Thinking about stopping at the local garden center to buy Mom a hanging basket or potted plant for Mother’s Day? Do so with caution. Some places pump plants full of Miracle Grow so they are a mass of blooms when customers buy them, but they will wither to nothing once you give Mom your gift.
