Why green is so rare
The green color pigmentation is something you hardly ever see with animals in general. If you’ve ever asked yourself the question, ‘why don’t animals have blue or green colored fur?’, don’t worry, we have an answer. There are green lizards and birds, right? So why not green tigers or elephants?
It would seem that the green pigmentation just does not mix with the other colors that naturally are found in fur. So in fact, no bird or other animal we mentioned at all is actually green. I know, good luck trying to wrap your head around that one. Allow us to explain before you pull your hair out from frustration.
