Don’t Go (1980) was Yazoo’s second single, following their breakthrough ballad. Vince Clarke built the track around synthesizers while Alison Moyet delivered its powerful vocals. The combination made it a favorite in British clubs and helped establish Yazoo as an important early synthpop act during electronic dance music’s rise.
