Midflight Stretches
There are several reasons why you should get up during your flight and walk up and down the aisles. The main reason is to make sure nobody’s trying to have some under-the-blanket fun, though that’s not any of your business (leave that to the flight attendants). The actual reason is to maintain optimal blood flow.
If you’re not accustomed to flying, staying seated for far too long can prevent your blood from flowing as it should, causing cramping and even swelling. So, if you’re stuck on a plane for a long time, just get up every 30 minutes or so to do some midflight stretches.
