#4: Georgie Peering Into the Sewer
This person placed a life-sized figure of a small boy in a yellow raincoat flat on the lawn. The figure is positioned to be peering right down into a storm drain on the street. Anyone who has seen or read Stephen King’s It knows exactly who this is: poor Georgie, right before he meets the terrifying clown Pennywise. For people walking by on the sidewalk, the effect is immediate and chilling. I guess you don’t need loud noises or jump scares to make people’s skin crawl.
