#9: Collaboration Doesn’t Diminish Genius—It Elevates It
When we are able to combine our talents, ideas, and sensibilities with other like-minded (or even drastically diverse) individuals, we are often capable of creating something that would far surpass what we could achieve had we worked alone. Unlike certain peers during this period, Raphael created studios filled with talented and promising assistants and younger artists. He mentored, shared, and lifted others up. As a result, his frescoes are seen as both a magnificent and cohesive series of artworks. (The Stanza della Segnatura, 1508–1511)
