#3: Japanese Honeysuckle
Why it’s a problem: Fast-growing Japanese Honeysuckle is an attractive vine that positively smothers native plants and trees. All that smothering reduces Mother Nature’s perfect biodiversity in woodlands and forest edges.
Plant instead: Lonicera sempervirens (Coral Honeysuckle). Another species of Honeysuckle, this Coral variety is a native and non-invasive species with a very similar brand of charm.
