#3: The Blue Lagoon (Iceland)
So if you ever find yourself wanting to soak in a giant, milky-blue hot tub, at least now you know who to thank – the nearby power plant. A geothermal power station opened in Iceland in 1976, and its excess mineral-rich water carved out a pool in the lava field nearby. Locals observed the pretty steamy water and decided to step in, and it took no time for them to realize the magic this water does to their skin.
