Different magazines and documentaries tend to tell their history through the great men and great events. Anyway, some unique photos may show another side of the past, with unusual and little-known moments that demonstrate authenticity and human emotions. Although famous faces make it more interesting, history is mostly made up of ordinary people at the right moment and time.
#1: Albert Einstein at Lincoln University (1946)
In 1946, Albert Einstein visited Lincoln University, Pennsylvania. This institution is the oldest historically Black university in the U.S. Einstein was there to give a lecture and receive an honorary degree. At a time when racial segregation was the norm, Einstein didn’t hold back. He referred to racism as “a disease of white people.” His words mattered.
