Joe Biden won the presidential election in November 2020, as citizens cast their votes smack dab in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. He defeated Donald Trump by an electoral tally of 306-232. Despite the wide margin of victory, many people contested that the election had been rigged, a conspiracy still prevalent in some circles today.
