One final forgotten 80s hit that also appears on a movie soundtrack is The Jets’ “Cross My Broken Heart.” Though it had charting success on its own as well, Beverly Hills Cop II featured it. After its release in 1987 on the band’s Magic album, “Cross My Broken Heart” hit No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Jets are best known for their highest charting song “Crush on You” from 1986, but “Cross My Broken Heart” is still one of the band’s biggest hits. Magic went on to receive a gold certification.t
