#7: Sweet Dreams – Air Supply
While it might not be Air Supply’s most well-known song, “Sweet Dreams” was still popular when it was released at the end of 1981. Part of the band’s sixth album, The One That You Love, “Sweet Dreams,” made the charts in the US and Canada, and it even hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top 100. It is still one of their best-known songs.
Despite not being their best-known song (that would be “All Out of Love”), the album that brought “Sweet Dreams” into the world was their highest charting. Air Supply went on to win Most Outstanding Achievement in the TV Week / Countdown Awards in 1981.
