#20: Frilly Curtains
Speaking of window coverings, one 1970s trend was to hang overly fussy, overly frilly curtains. With tie-backs, valances, and café curtains, this style brought color and texture into a room, but if you weren’t careful, frilly curtains could add to a disjointed, chaotic decorating style.
