Back when I was a child.
Laura Ingalls was born in Wisconsin on February 7, 1867. Her birth year was 1867. She was born to Charles and Caroline Ingalls, parents. They named her Laura Ingalls. While Charles went on to become the town butcher and a justice of the peace, Caroline decided to pursue a career in education. Grace, Caroline Amelia, Laura, Carrie, and Charles were all children that Caroline and Charles had. Charles, the sole child of his parents, passed away when he was just a little infant.
In 1869, the Ingalls family uprooted their lives and moved from Wisconsin to the Indian Territory, where they eventually settled down and built a house. After discovering that white settlers were not permitted to take over Indian property in Kansas, where they had planned to settle, they promptly turned around. They headed back to Wisconsin to begin the long trek back home. They were underwhelmed by it.
