The Stories Will Never Die.
A little television program in the 1970s called Little House on the Prairie, based on the books written by Laura Ingalls Wilder, brought even greater attention to her writings. Forty years after the initial publication of the Little House book, these tales were brought back to life and given a second chance at life.
Thanks to her efforts, the homes and other locations that were significant to Laura Ingalls Wilder have all been designated as National Historic Landmarks. People from all over the world visit where this pioneer woman and respected novelist got her ideas for some of her most famous works so they can see them for themselves.
