The Little House series addresses early settlers, race relations, Native Americans, and other underrepresented groups. If you’ve ever picked up a book published in the 1930s or 1940s, you’ve probably noticed that the portrayal of Native Americans in such books is pretty much precisely how you’d anticipate it to be.
