#7: Lawrence (Felt)
The indie music scene of our youth was full of interesting characters, but Lawrence of the band Felt was truly unique. In 1980, he decided on a very specific plan: the band would release exactly 10 albums in 10 years and then immediately break up. He kept his word, avoiding any big record deals or mainstream radio pushes. He successfully finished his decade-long project in 1989 and disappeared.
