Observations She’s Made in Her Life.
This remarkable photograph, taken at the 1994 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade, captures the parade’s uniquely weird appearances and costumes from the perspective of a stunned onlooker. The photographer captured the juxtaposition of the thunderbolt look of surprise on her face, and the unchoreographed mass of bodies right next to her was captured by the photographer.
It was one of the wildest Mardi Gras parades in Australian history, with more than 600,000 people watching and 137 floats. In 1994, ABC broadcast the parade for the first time ever. It was ALthough the first time, but we can all agree that the fashion statements back then were pretty outrageous or more precisely weird.
