#13: AT&T and the DEA’s Hemisphere Surveillance Program (2007– )
Starting in 2007, AT&T worked with the DEA on a program called Hemisphere. It provided decades of phone records, including call data and locations. This information helped law enforcement track suspects, often without public awareness. The scale of the database raised concerns about privacy and government surveillance powers.
