#1: Winston Churchill – Painting Landscapes
Winston Churchill, who twice served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom – from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955 – painted landscape scenes to escape the pressure of political life. Painting landscapes also gave him an excuse to spend time in nature, which also soothed his soul.
