#11: Dumpster Diving?
Okay, this next person’s approach is a bit extreme, and it’s definitely not for everyone. Dumpster diving or the ideology of ‘freeganism’ is rooted in the principles of anti-consumerism, environmentalism, and a desire to reduce waste. People who practice this lifestyle dive into dumpsters, primarily behind grocery stores, to rescue discarded but perfectly edible food and other items that society deems as waste.

For obvious reasons, public opinion on dumpster diving varies, with supporters praising its resourcefulness and sustainability, while critics argue it’s unsanitary or illegal in some cases. Freegans are known for their rejection of conventional consumerism and their commitment to minimizing their impact on the environment.
