#2: The Princeton Architecture Student (1932)
At Princeton, Stewart studied architecture and even earned a scholarship for graduate work after designing an airport terminal thesis. But the stage kept tugging. Photographs from his university years and Triangle Club performances show a young man not yet polished into a movie star but already comfortable enough to be funny in front of people. Princeton gave him structure, friendships, and a doorway into performance. Architecture lost him. Hollywood, eventually, gained one of its finest human buildings.
