The Indoor Swimming Pool Remained Dry for the Longest Period of Time
Despite being completely surrounded by water, the Titanic had an indoor swimming pool for passengers who wanted to swim a few laps while on board. Swimming pools on cruise ships are now fairly common, but the Titanic was one of the first ocean liners to have an indoor pool.
Because the swimming pool room was completely waterproof, it was one of the last rooms on the boat to flood.
