Even the lifeboats were saved
The Carpathia saved thirteen lifeboats full of passengers, and the crew of the Carpathia opted to save the actual lifeboats as well. They loaded them onto the ship with the intention of transporting them to New York and returning them to the White Star Line.
Many looters hunting for souvenirs arrived at Pier 59 and damaged the lifeboats while they were parked. These boats, like the rest of the Titanic, are now lost.
