#44: Julia Child
Just because you haven’t found your place in life at a young age doesn’t mean that you will never get there. Julia Child’s love for food and French cooking took her from being a home cook to one of the most memorable and sought-after cooks in the world.
Sure, she might be extremely well known these days, but for a long time, Julia Child was just another American living in Europe post World War 2. It wasn’t until she decided to publish her cookbook, ‘Mastering the Art of French Cooking’ when she was 49 years old that she became an icon around the world.
