When I Grow Up I Want a Hammer Just like Dad’s
If you’re familiar with lawyer commercials on TV, you’ve probably seen Jim Adler the “Texas Hammer.” When Adler started his law firm in the early 70s, it was considered unethical for lawyers to advertise and it wasn’t even legal yet. After a few years, that changed, and Jim Adler became a pioneer of the genre. Here you can see Jim Adler and his son, Bill, both swinging hammers mercilessly.
“We like doing ads where we are both in them,” Bill is quoted as saying on the Jim Adler & Associates website. “Now it’s both of us — double trouble. People want someone who can be tough with insurance companies and get them what they deserve, but also someone who can answer their questions and give them advice.”
