#16: Harry Coover and the Discovery of Super Glue (1951)

During World War II, scientists were developing new materials for military use. Harry Coover first encountered cyanoacrylate in 1942 but ignored it due to its stickiness. He rediscovered it in 1951 and recognized its potential. Marketed later as super glue, it became useful in industry, medicine, and everyday repairs.
