What Can Happen to Fatherless Kids
Professors at McGill University found that a fatherless household can leave permanent psychological damage to children. Their research article found that single mothers are more hostile, impatient, and outright aggressive than their married counterparts. Of course, this isn’t true in all cases. In fact, we know of single mothers who were happier without a man in the household.
Still, the numbers don’t lie. According to the article, fatherless children are more prone to developing deviant behavior over time. They tend to seek approval from their male peers who aren’t the best role models. And since single moms have to work and be both parents at the same time, it can be difficult to teach their sons and daughters moral values than if there were two parents at home.
