Put a Halt to That Thing!
Have you ever found yourself wondering what goes through the mind of an opposing submarine when it spots yours? The submarine is about to receive a warning in a few seconds, which will indicate that torpedoes are heading in its direction. Thankfully, not everything has been lost. Special countermeasures that are carried by submarines of the United States Navy are used to mislead incoming torpedoes.
These precautions have been given the moniker of “Mobile Submarine Simulator,” which is an abbreviation for the acronym MOSS. It is, for the most part, an imitation of the unique sound that an actual submarine produces. Up until the 1990s, each and every ballistic submarine that belonged to the Navy was equipped with one of them.
