#29: Bea Benaderet – Betty Rubble
Bea Benaderet has an iconic, pre-1955 voice-acting resume for Warner Bros. Studios. Characters such as Little Red Riding Hood, Witch Hazel, Mama Bear, and Tweety’s owner “Granny” (the film “Tweetie Pie” won an Academy Award) populate her archive of character voices. Unfortunately, since she was employed as a freelancer, she never received onscreen credit for her work.
In 1960, she was cast for the role of Betty Rubble in ‘The Flintstones,” a role which absolutely credited her for the work she contributed, and the rest was history.
