#20: 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
You may have heard how actors and directors have their eccentricities, and here’s a real-life example of one. After filming his 1968 sci-fi epic 2001: A Space Odyssey, director Stanley Kubrick destroyed almost all of the expensive props and sets. It’s not uncommon for props to be reused for multiple films, but Kubrick didn’t want them to be used in any lesser science fiction films.
