One of our most favorite characters in science fiction film history is that larger than life and always lovable Chewbacca. Creator and director George Lukas revealed that his dog actually inspired the famous Wookie military leader. Indiana (aptly named), a large Alaskan malamute, would ride in the front seat of Lukas’ car as he drove around town, citing the affection he felt for his furry friend as inspiration for the relationship between Chewie and Han Solo.
