#5: Interstellar (2014)
For his 2014 film Interstellar, director Christopher Nolan couldn’t find a cornfield next to mountains. He didn’t want to use fake CGI corn fields, he wanted the real thing. So, together with his team, they had planted $100k worth of corn. That made it convenient because they could freely shoot, as well as drive through the field for a scene.
