This Work Ensures Their Survival
Participating in a mission that will explore space in general carries with it, as one might expect, a substantial amount of danger. These dangers pose a threat not just to one’s bodily well-being, but also to one’s mental health and, yes, even their sanity. Because of this, every astronaut is expected to undergo extensive training and meet a number of stringent standards. This effort is absolutely necessary in order to provide them the tools they need to survive.
Going into space has a number of dangers, one of which being the claustrophobic conditions of the vehicles used. These have the potential to drive a person completely insane. Aside from this, there is also the danger of contracting cancer as a result of exposure to radiation, and there is also the ever-present risk that the rocket will explode once it has been given the go-ahead to launch.
