#6: The White Shadow (1924) Emerged From a Private Collection
After a New Zealand projectionist died in 1989, his film collection sat largely unexplored in an archive. In 2011, researchers found that some reels contained major cinematic treasures. One was part of The White Shadow (1924), an early project involving Alfred Hitchcock, while another belonged to Upstream (1927).
