There’s one more thing Florida is well known for, along with the alligators and the hurricanes and the booze and Florida Man, and that is it is a popular destination for snowbirds. A snowbird, if you’re not aware, is a person—usually older and retired—who has a home somewhere else but moves south to a warm locale every winter.

Personally, I think being a snowbird sounds awesome—I hate being cold and shoveling my drive—and I’m looking forward to someday being able to pack up my stuff and follow the sun.
