#15: Indiana State Flower
Indiana doesn’t even have a monopoly on its “state flower.” These orange beauties can be found in every state, from California to New York. Still, this does exemplify exactly how bland Indiana is. Their official state flower is the peony, which is such a run-of-the-mill choice! It used to be the zinnia, which at least has some allure.
Indiana is one of only two states that doesn’t have a state animal, either. It shares that lack with Iowa. They do, however, have a state bird: the cardinal. Maybe we should start a petition for a state animal like the trash panda. It would go well with this orange state flower!
